I initially signed up with Storage King with Victor who was great. There was a deal if you paid 5 months upfront, you'd get a free month. After that lapsed, i asked to renew. Victor then left and I dealt with a new manager who's name was Kristy. She argued with me about the deal despite me providing evidence of my enquiry to renew and staff saying it was ok. When I got close to the end of my 12 months, instead of appreciating long term renters, she hit me with a 45% increase in the monthly rate ($69 to $99).. after that.. it had not even been a month, she tacked on another increase ($105, total 53% increase). I complained right away and they responded that it was a mistake which I highly doubt. I chose to end my lease before being subjected to multiple future high increases. I then emailed them twice of my notice to vacate and received no response from either email. I will be opening a dispute shortly as I am due for a refund for the remaining dates. Beware - Kristy has no sense of customer service and will eventually hit you with high increases.

Update: after more voicemails and missed calls, rang them back and asked to be removed from the database and not called again. Was told, 'we don't know if you are who you say you are, so can't remove you'. Are you actually telling me random people ring up for others and beg to remove their details and not contact them? Absolutely ridiculous.

From the initial phone enquiry , application & storage of goods it was flawless . I felt as though me as a customer was given every assistance that could be given . Erin & team are professionals in every instance . Highly recommend ✅

The induction was very easy to understand. The storage is very well priced compared to others in the area. The hoist was very handy and easy to use.

Initially when I signed up I was extremely impressed, Colin was incredibly helpful and friendly. Price wasn't the best in town but I went with them because Colin was so lovely to deal with. Unfortunately though, great service at the location can't make up for the area manager. A big factor in choosing this place was that they offered 24 hour access. I don't often go in, but in a pinch I like to know I can get things I need quickly (e.g. a wheelchair I keep for when my elderly grandmother visits, backup work equipment for emergencies, etc). A few days ago I got an email from the area manager telling me that they were cancelling my 24 hour access because I don't use it enough. If I wanted to keep it I'd have to pay an extra $25/month from now on. I told him how utterly ridiculous it is to penalise customers for not coming in when they don't need to, and heard nothing back until today when I got a notice of a price increase. I figured this was for that and contacted them again, only to find out this was a separate price increase happening simultaneously. He then went on to complain/brag that they jack up the price every 6 months but this time it had been 7 months, as if I should feel lucky. Between the two price increases and proposed new access surcharge for the same access I had originally signed up for we're talking about a 44% price increase in only 13 months. So yeah, don't be fooled by the friendly face at the front, there are other people in the company quite happy to rip you off. Avoid like the plague. EDIT TO RESPOND TO THEIR REPLY BELOW: The manager hasn't "waived the cost" of anything- if they've reinstated access then we're simply back to honouring the agreement already in place for the past 13 months. Creating a new surcharge for access and then winding it back when you get called out is not a discount or a favour, it's just you getting caught being shady. At any rate, even without this dodgy extra charge (which I'm sure you'll try to bring back in a month or so anyway) your price is both out of step with competition and still more than 30% higher than a year ago. I'll be removing my stuff over the coming weeks.

We've been with Storage King Pymble since they were opened. They always offer great service. Dean the manager and Matthew the staff were both exceptional. Highly recommended! 👍

Do not rent a unit with this company. The level of greed is disgusting. They put the rent up every 6 months and by a lot. There is always rubbish lying around. The toilet facilities are always locked. The manager there is incompetent and rude. I could go on.

I needed to move from one storage to another and came to Storage King in Smithfield. I was sold the moment I walked in! Both Michael and George were so attentive and friendly and were able to meet my needs then and there on the spot. I am so glad I made the move.Their customer service is hands down, the very best! Storage King in Smithfield is fairly new with quick lifts, smooth trolleys and a clean space. Definitely recommended for service and to keep your items clean and secure with easy to use facilities. Huge thanks to Michael and George!

Very friendly staff and they helped out when i needed a unit asap

We booked a unit and then got the opportunity to store our belongings elsewhere. After paying in full we then phoned to cancel our unit. I was told it would be 3 to 4 days for our refund. After 3 days, l went to find out why we hadn’t received our refund. I then then told no information was relayed regarding our cancellation and because we didn’t give 2 weeks notice a fee would be applied. We didn’t even take possession of said unit. Eventually we got our refund minus $70. I expected an administration fee of around $20 to $30 but this amount was ridiculous. A really good way of making money for nothing.

Incredible service, absolutely above and beyond. Natalie and the team have gone out of thier way to accommodate my unique needs while also giving me the best price aswell. They even managed to give me options as to which unit would suit me best even though they are 90% full. Then they gave me extra time to move my things between units and remove my tiles stored outside. They have done thier utmost to work with me and help me get the result that's was best or me and were super friendly and fun in the process. Amy even told me last week that she loves her job because she has a chance to help people who come to Storage King during often adverse circumstances. She said said she loves her job and it really shows too. I so grateful for all the help and I cannot speak highly enough of my Storage King experience. 👑

Ease of ordering and the booking process was simple, store manager was so helpful and explained everything so that we understood what was needed and what we had to do.

Fabulous service . Jade made the whole process very easy for me. She showed me the storage units available, they are all easily accessible. The whole place is very clean as well. I would highly recommend them if you need a place for any storage solutions.
