Community Spirit

I have been in customer serviceall my working life. Since joining the Storage King team two years ago I havebecome really proud of the interaction between my work colleges, customers and I.I’ve always believed that a happy and satisfied customer walking out the door equalsa job well done. But it can go further still – the local community of whichStorage King Midland is a part of.
Being involved in several localcommunity initiatives, alongside other likeminded people makes me proud to workfor a company that incorporates the community like the way Storage King does. The recent bushfire events in and around the Perth Hills were testament tothis. Whilst the events didn’t seem to have much in the way of media coverage, there were many people affected including 52 homes lost.
Midland, where we are located, isat the base of the Hills and is in a town with strong Community Spirit. Thiswas clearly made evident as almost as soon as we’d expressed our support forthe cause, donations began to role in from far and wide, even as far away asKalgoorlie some 570 km away. We were only too happy to open our doors andaccept the much needed donations and provide support. We also housed theoverflow to several charities. It was amazing to witness these groups allworking side by side ensuring the correct items were getting out to those whoneeded it most. Pets were also catered for with dog and cat food as well asbird seed being brought in, with just about everything else you can think of.Even now long after the fires have been extinguished there are tireless workersstill pushing on in the back ground helping people back on their feet. It iswith great pleasure that we are able to continue to offer our assistance to thosemost affected with boxes and storage.
To the charities, MidlandCommunity and to the people who organised donations (full Pallet loads in somecases!!), we cannot thank you enough for your efforts and generosity.
