On this international women’s day, it is a reminder of howwomen are life blood in the community. They do so with so much joy, commitmentand passion. They have carried the burdens of society throughout the ages withgrace, strength and a hell a lot of nagging. They have been known to stop warsand to start them as well. Thank you Helen of Troy. Everything from theburdens of child birth to mastering a family to running a business andexcelling in sport, they are men’s equal.
Anyway, enough of politics and life and let’s talk about ourstorage industry. Whilst you may think of the stereotype of a warehouse, andsweaty men all mingling about in their storage units with forklifts andtrucks chugging off diesel fumes, it is very much not the case. Believe it ornot, it is the ladies of this world who are our first points of contact and themajority of our customers. Whether it be enquiring about getting their houseorganised to preparing an office or a factory to be stored, it is the ladieswho get us disorganised men into the fray. They are the ones during the weekand the weekend, handling their young children and hauling cupboards and TVsout of their cars to put into storage.
They are also the mini warehouse managers of their owndominions of storage units who decide the fate of the contents in the storageunit and organise their way ward mulling about male partners into action.
It is quite inspiring to see the length and involvementwomen have to our industry and so at Storage King Chatswood, we stronglybelieve that it is our duty to be small part of their world and especially theday we pay tribute to women for all their contributions.
So on a cold Autumn day, Storage King Chatswood along withsome of our capable ladies customers and staff alike, all attended thecelebration breakfast held by the Concourse and the City of Willoughby. We felt that sponsoring and being part of such a special event for women,where we acknowledge their rightful place in this world, is one way ofacknowledging our valued customers in women.
